Petrol, high-speed diesel prices reduced by Rs5 per litre

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – On the recommendations the Finance Ministry, Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved an Rs5 per litre decrease in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel. The new prices will be applicable from March 1. After the decrease, petrol will be available at Rs111.60 per litre, while high-speed diesel will be sold at Rs122.26 per litre. Moreover, the prices of kerosene oil and light-speed diesel have been decreased by Rs7 per litre. The new prices of kerosene oil and light-speed diesel will be 92.45 and Rs77.51 per litre. Sources said that the relief had not been provided to the masses despite a record decrease in the POL products. They said that the tax on the POL products has been further increased on the demand of the IMF. “The tax on POL products has been increased due to the revenue shortfall,” he added.
