Govt increases petrol price by Rs 5 per litre

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Ignoring the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) proposal, the government increased the prices of all the petroleum products by Rs5 to Rs6 per litre for next 15 days.

According to a notification issued by Ministry of Finance, the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) were enhanced by Rs 5 per litre and Rs5.01 that of kerosene and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 5.42 and Rs 5.92 per litre, respectively.

After the increase, the petrol price has been fixed at Rs 123.30 per litre, while high-speed diesel, kerosene oil and light diesel will be available at Rs 120.04, Rs 92.26 and Rs 90.69 per litre.

The OGRA had proposed an increase of Rs 1 and Rs 10 per litre in the price of petrol and high-speed diesel.
