Petrol should be sold at Rs 40.01 per liter, says Khurshid Shah

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah has on Thursday said that petrol should be sold at Rs 40.01 but the government has imposed tax on petroleum levy. Talking to media, he said that the interior minister used to call levy tax extortion during Pakistan People’s Party’s tenure but their government has imposed tax. He said that the people should be benefitted with the decrease in petroleum prices, adding that the diesel prices should have been Rs39 but the government has imposed Rs45 tax on it. The PPP leader said that the government is receiving Rs 10.15 billion per day from High Speed Diesel, while getting Rs 50.8 million from petrol.
