ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The government is likely to increase the petroleum products prices from November 1.

According to sources, there are chances of Rs5 increase in kerosene oil per liter, Rs8 in high speed diesel per liter, Rs6.5 in light-speed diesel per liter and Rs6 in petrol per liter.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has recommended the summary regarding price hike to the government. The Finance Ministry will make the final decision in consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan. The new prices will be applicable from November 1.

The reason of price hike is said to be the depreciation of the rupee and the rise in the value of the dollar.
