PHF announces central contract for 12 players

LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the central contract for 12 players.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, PHF secretary general Asif Bajwa said that the central contract would be given to 20 players.

He said that no compromise would be made on discipline and fitness. “The A category players will be given Rs 50,000 per month, while Category B and C players will be given Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 per month respectively,” he announced.

However, captain Rizwan Senior, Azfar Yaqoob and Amjad Ali failed in getting the central contract.

Central Contract Players:

A Category: Umar Bhutta, Mubashar Ali, Ali Shan, Ijaz Ahmed and Abubakar Tariq.

B Category: Tazeemul Hassan and Moeen Shakeel

C Category: Waqar, Abdullah, Aqeel Ahmed, Umair Sattar and Ruman Khan

Emerging Category: Naveed Alam, Danish, Rizwan Ali and Obaidullah.
