PIA cancels Bangladesh-bound flight after official’s house raided in Dhaka

KARACHI (92 News): The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) cancelled its flight PK-266 in protest against harassment of its officials and passengers in Dhaka, 92 News reported on Thursday. According to PIA spokesperson, Bangladeshi intelligence officers raided the house of PIA country manager Ali Abbas and interrogated him and his family members besides keeping them in illegal confinement for over 2 hours. The Bangladeshi officers searched PIA’s flight PK-266 on Wednesday and also questioned the passengers. Pakistan has contacted Bangladesh High Commission and demanded clarification on Bangladeshi security agencies’ harassment.
