PIA Chairman Nasir Jaffar announces his resignation

KARACHI (92 News) – PIA Chairman Nasir Jaffar has announced his resignation, taking responsibility of the Tuesday incident.

In a TV program on Tuesday, he said that he had asked the Action Committee not to shed a drop of blood.

He said that he had been trying to unite all people for the last one year. “I am resigning over today’s incident. I have sent my resignation to the prime minister.”

The PIA chairman said that today was the blackest day of the PIA history.

He said that the killings of the employees should be investigated. “The employees had assured to lodge the protest within limit,” he added.

He said that the employees would get their salaries and perks through the functioning of the PIA.

Nasir Jaffar called for thorough investigations into the incident.
