LAHORE (92 News) – The flight operation of Pakistan International Airport has been partially resumed on Sunday.

Two planes have reached Jeddah to bring back Umrah pilgrims stranded in Saudi Arabia over past few days. The pilgrims will land in Islamabad.

As the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees’ strike and the suspension of flight operations continued for the sixth day on Sunday, many flights have been cancelled again today affecting PIA passengers at home and abroad.

In Lahore, at least 31 flights have been cancelled today due to the cancellation of flight operation by the PIA employees against the proposed privatization of national flag carriers.

Hundreds of Umrah passengers, including women and children are stranded due to the ongoing strike by employees of the PIA.

In Peshawar, the flight operation of the national flag carrier from the Bacha Khan International Airport remain suspended as the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees’ strike continued on sixth day multiplying the woes of hundreds of passengers. The strike forced the PIA to cancel 14 flights today (Sunday).
