PIA flight operation partially resumed for Umrah pilgrims

LAHORE/KARACHI/PESHAWAR (92 News) – As the protest of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees continued against proposed privatization of the national flag carrier, the flight operation could not be resumed as many flights have been cancelled due to the strike.

As per details, the PIA employees are still on strike in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, Karachi and Peshawar.

In Peshawar, the PIA employees continue to strike, triggering cancellation of six domestic and international flights today (Tuesday).

According to airport inquiry office sources, the flights schedule of private airline continues as usual.

The flight operations from Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Gilgit airports have been partially restored for the transportation of Umrah pilgrims.
