MANCHESTER (92 News) – A plane of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) nearly avoided an accident when a female passenger on board mistakenly opened the emergency door of the plane taking it for bathroom door. According to the details garnered, an Islamabad bound flight of PIA, with 393 passengers from Manchester, was delayed for over seven hours as a female passenger pulled the lever of the aircraft’s emergency door. As a result, the aircraft’s emergency slide immediately came out, due to which 37 passengers had to be offloaded by the PIA crew. According to PIA spokesperson, the incident took place in PIA flight 702 at Manchester airport. The plane had landed at Manchester Airport from Islamabad. It was parked at the airport when the incident took place. The woman narrowly escaped falling from the plane. The sliding of the Boeing 777 plane opened with the door. The area where the sliding opens was then cleared. The 37 passengers on board the plane were offloaded while the flight was delayed by seven hours.

Earlier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft’s windscreen cracked mid-air due to low pressure of oxygen on Saturday. As per details, PIA’s flight PK-370 was traveling from Karachi to Islamabad when the incident took place. However, the plane landed safely at the Islamabad International Airport and passengers remained unhurt. A PIA spokesperson said that low oxygen pressure in the cabin was occurred due to technical fault. Earlier, Lahore-bound PIA plane from Dubai was hit by a bird during its landing at Allama Iqbal Airport, a day after a plane crash killed 48 people near Havelian. The pilot, however, managed to land safely. All passengers remained unhurt.
