ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Tuesday sacked its five staffers from whom United Kingdom Border Force recovered illegal 20,000 pounds and seven illegal mobile phones. According to sources, PIA has registered a case against Sadia Sumbal Butt, Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Awais Ahmad Qureshi, Tauseef Ashraf and Fareeha Mukhtar. Earlier, Scotland Yard questioned all the five flight crew members. British Custom authorities kept the crew in custody for 24 hours, seized currency and mobile phones and deported them. British Customs authorities have changed the status from category Green to Orange of the PIA. British authorities warned the PIA authorities to stop its staffers’ involvement in such crimes otherwise the category of the national flag carrier will be changed into red.
