PIA special plane reaches Mazar-i-Sharif on WHO request

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (92 News) – On the request of the World Health Organization (WHO), a special plane of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) reached Mazar-i-Sharif on Monday.

As part of the humanitarian mission, the plane carried essential medical supplies and food flew from Dubai. The objective of the cargo flight is to overcome shortage of medicines in Afghanistan and assist the United Nations.

Pakistan Ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmed Khan confirmed that the PIA cargo flight took essential supplies of the WHO to Mazar-i-Sharif in line with Pakistan’s role of making a ‘humanitarian air bridge’ in coordination with international agencies.
