LAHORE (92 News) – The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) partially restored the domestic flight operation from Saturday. Flights departed for Lahore and Islamabad from Karachi. All the PIA planes are being disinfected before the flights. Passengers are being strictly asked to maintain social distancing. It is mandatory for all passengers to wear masks and use sanitizers. The PIA spokesman said that a flight will reach Lahore from Karachi at 1pm and return to Karachi at 4pm. According to the rules issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), passengers coming from abroad will have to undergo 14-day quarantine at home. The passengers who tested negative for coronavirus will not have to quarantine in a hotel or government facility. However, a passenger having positive test and severe symptoms will have to go to quarantine. He can be allowed home quarantine if he does not have severe symptoms. A passenger testing positive cannot move from one province to another. A private or commercial air company will be responsible for filling up a health declaration form from passengers. All passengers will have to undergo scanning through automatic thermal scanners at international and domestic lounges.
