Pilgrims accuses Saudi authorities for Mina stampede

MINA (92 News) – The pilgrims have on Sunday accused Saudi Authorities for a stampede that left more than 700 people dead at the hajj in Saudi Arabia on Thursday. The worst tragedy in 25 years at the annual Muslim pilgrimage occurred on Thursday during the symbolic stoning of the devil at Mina, just outside the holy city of Makkah, in which at least 769 people embraced martyrdom and more than 800 people were hurt. After the incident, the Saudi authorities have been criticized. While criticizing Saudi authorities, the Iranian officials accused that the incident occurred due to the closure of gates during the symbolic stoning of the devil at Mina. Iran's President Hassan Rouhani has used a speech at the UN to call for an investigation into Thursday's stampede at the annual Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca. Several Hajj pilgrims have also accused that the police present on the occasion was inexperienced and they didn’t even know the ways. On the other hand, a Saudi minister accuses pilgrims of the incident.
