SLAMABAD (92 News) – A four-member medical board at PIMS Hospital will consult to conduct further tests of former president Asif Ali Zardari on Friday (today). According to the sources, the PPP co-chairman is being given insulin on daily basis. The physiotherapy therapy is being provided continuously to Zardari for reducing back and neck pain. On the decision of the medical board, Asif Ali Zardari would remain admitted to the hospital for another two days. A four-member medical board headed by Professor Shajee Siddiqui examined Zardari at PIMS Hospital and advised against discharging him from the medical facility. The PPP co-chairman would receive further medical treatment for two days until Saturday. As per doctors, the PPP leader is under depression and is suffering from severe physical weakness. A day earlier, the PIMS declared the medical reports of former president Asif Ali Zardari as satisfactory. According to details garnered, the former president is undergoing treatment at the cardiac ward in PIMS and yesterday’s medical tests reports are satisfactory. Some medical tests of Zardari are likely to be carried out today. The blood and Eco tests of the former president and were conducted on Wednesday by a four-member medical board at the PIMS. A day earlier, the doctors conducted various medical tests of under trial prisoner of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Asif Ali Zardari here at the PIMS. His blood samples have been sent to the hospital laboratory for tests, including Complete Picture, Renal Function Test (RFT), Serum Electrolyte, Liver Function Test (LFT), Prothrombin Time, HBA1C (blood sugar) and Lipid profile for cholesterol. His ECG and ECHO tests will also be conducted. It is pertinent to mention here that Asif Zardari has been shifted to PIMS for management and diagnostic investigation. PIMS cardiac center’s private ward has been declared as a sub jail for him. Earlier, a heart expert, neuro physician and medical expert thoroughly examined Asif Zardari and suggested some medical tests to know the exact health condition. The PPP co-chairman was transferred to hospital after a recommendation of a medical board examining his health. Under high alert security, Asif Zardari was directly shifted from an accountability court to the hospital. The district administration is considering declaring Pims Hospital a sub-jail.
