LAHORE (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the prime minister had announced a big package for the construction sector, but no incentive could be announced for doctors, nurses and labourers. Reacting to the incentive announced for the construction industry on Friday, he said that no incentive has been given to doctors and nurses frontline fighters against the coronavirus epidemic. He said that the daily wagers who have been badly hit by the lockdown got no package. “The entire country is paying the price for the wrong priorities of the federal government,” he said. The PPP chairman said that the people in dire need of help should be given the financial assistance. Addressing the PPP Gilgit-Baltistan leaders through the video link, he said that the Chinese government had given the relief items to Gilgit-Baltistan, but the federal government did nothing for them. “The government spread coronavirus by changing the name of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) into Ehsas Programme,” he maintained. He said that daily 15 tests are being conducted in Gilgit-Baltistan, which is an alarming situation. “There is need to save lives, not to launch the uplift projects,” he said.
