PM announces Montessori, play-group classes in Islamabad’s govt schools

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has on Wednesday announced to start the Montessori and play-group classes in government schools in the federal capital. Addressing the ceremony to hand over buses to the educational institutions of Capital in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that 70 buses have been procured, adding that he has given instructions for purchase of remaining 130 on priority bases. “Preference should be given to girl schools and rural areas to help resolve transportation problem of girl students,” he added. The prime minister expressed resolve of the government to improve environment and raise standard of educational institutions. He said: “It is our duty to serve the country through hardwork and dedication.” “I have directed the Mayor of the federal capital to concentrate on improvement of sanitation, roads, streets and overall environment of Islamabad,” Nawaz Sharif said.   On the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said that the government would give completely revamped school to Islamabad during the current year. She went on to say that apart from missing facilities, efforts are also being made to provide IT and science labs to all the schools. She said: “Steps are also being taken to improve quality of education in the educational institutions of the capital, adding that Montessori classes have been introduced in 22 schools of Islamabad.”
