PM announces to expose those who sell, buy votes in Senate elections

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has announced to expose those who sell and buy votes in Senate elections on Thursday.

According to the details garnered, the prime minister called off the official engagements and summoned a meeting of senior party leaders and ministers.

It added that PM Khan will brief his party leaders on government narrative on the present political situation. During the meeting, he will also take briefing on the reasons behind defeat of Abdul Hafeez Shaikh.

The sources further maintained that the meeting will make consultations on a vote of confidence.

Earlier a day after Hafeez Shaikh defeat in Seante polls, PM Imran Khan has decided to take the vote of confidence from the parliament.

This was announced by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi during a press conference on Wednesday.

The minister said that each tactic was used to secure the victory of Imran Khan. "The ECP failed in ensuring transparency in the Senate election," he added.

He said that the PTI is the party that allows everyone to express himself. "In Sindh, two members decided not to vote for the party and we respected their decision," he added.

The minister said that those liking the idea of Imran Khan's opponents have the right to join their party. "The opposition does the politics of interests and protection. We will not take rest till the burial of this politics," he added.

He said that today is regrettable for the democracy of the country.
