PM apprises Qatri emir about ongoing anti-Muslim riots in India

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan apprised Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani about the ongoing anti-Muslim riots in India. In the series of tweet, the special assistant said that the prime minister said the two sides pledged to enhance the existing bilateral cooperation and to work together to promote peace in the region. She also informed the Qatri emir about the crucial situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) and human rights abuses in the held valley. Firdous Ashiq Awan welcomed the deep interest shown by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for the development and investment in Pakistan. She said that PM Khan in his meeting with emir of Qatar discussed ways and means to further strengthening bilateral cooperation besides exchanging views on regional developments. He said Qatar would enhance economic cooperation with Pakistan and would invest in various sectors.

Firdous Ashiq Awan also said that Qatar’s investment in the tourism sector would boost tourism industry and the country's economy as well. She said the two leaders also discussed the business opportunities for Pakistani companies in connection with the FIFA World Cup 2022 to be played in Qatar.
