PM approves PML-Q's candidate Kamil Ali Agha in Senate election

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has aproved PML-Q ally party candidate Kamil Ali Agha in the Senate election on Monday.

He announced to support Kamil Agha in Senate election during a meeting with a delegation of PML-Q led by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. The meeting was attended by Tariq Bashir Cheema, Moonis Elahi, federal ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak and Shafqat Mahmood.

The meeting discusses the overall political situation and matters pertaining to upcoming Senate elections.

On the occasion, the premier announced his support for the name of PML-Q candidate Kamil Ali Agha in the Senate election.

Meanwhile, the government has formed a committee for Senate election comprising on Speaker Pervaiz Elahi, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar.

Prime Minister Imran Khan assured the League leadership that he would proceed with the consultation of allies regarding the Senate election. Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervez Khattak and Shafqat Mehmood attended the meeting on behalf of the government.

In the meeting, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also invited the Prime Minister to inaugurate the new building of the Punjab Assembly, which Imran Khan accepted.
