ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Amid rising tensions with India, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan chaired a meeting of the National Command Authority on Wednesday to discuss Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression. The NCA meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan in chair. According to the sources, the NCA decides about Pakistan’s response to the Indian aggression. The NCA oversees policy formulation, exercise, deployment, research and development, employment and operational command, and control of the country’s nuclear arsenal. The sources said that all the attendees also expressed the reservation over Indian violation of LoC and aggression against Pakistan. The prime minister was also briefed about the current scenario of tension with India and their Indian Air Force’s (IAF) actions and response by Pakistan Air Force. Meanwhile, the premier appreciated the effective and timely response of Pakistani forces against Indian violation of LoC. The meeting was attended by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Chiefs of all three services and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor. PM Imran Khan will also brief the Parliament on the latest situation regarding the Line of Control (LoC) violation committed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) by intruding through Muzaffarabad sector. On the other hand, the NCA meeting was called after Tuesday’s meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC), attended by the country’s top civil-military brass including Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Hayat and Chief of Naval Staff Zafar Mahmood Abbasi. It is pertinent to mention here that in the NSC, the military’s top leadership had recommended to summon a meeting of the NCA after the Indian aggression.
PM once again invites India to dialogues
After NCA meeting, in his address the nation , Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again invited India to dialogues. In his address the nation after Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down two Indian aircraft inside Pakistani airspace, he said that the war will not be in anyone’s control if it started. He said that he had invited India to dialogues after the Pulwama incident. “Our 70,000 people have been martyred during 10 years.” The prime minister said that Pakistan will take action if India provides proofs of the involvement of any Pakistani in the Pulwama incident. “After the Pulwama incident, I feared some activity from India.” He said that he had talked to the COAS and the Air Chief in the morning and took action today.
