Govt suppressing opposition's voice to conceal facts of anti-poor budget: Bilawal Bhutto

KARACHI (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has said that the prime minister is claiming of progress after imposing taxes of Rs 700 billion.

In a statement on Thursday, he said that only income of the common man had reduced by 17 percent in a year. "A 25 percent increase in the expenditures of daily-use items is the real face of the change," he maintained.

The PPP chairman said that the government had imposed Rs 700 billion taxes after fixing the labourer's salary at Rs 20,000.

He said that one child out of three is suffering from malnutrition. "The 17 percent sales tax on dairy products is tantamount to killing our children," he added.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the impending inflation will bring a tsunami and as a result, it would be very difficult for PM Imran Khan to stop the public reaction.

About the parliament situation, he said that the government was suppressing the voice of the opposition to conceal the facts of the anti-poor budget. "We will continue to expose anomalies of the budget," he added.
