PM, COAS condoles death of TLP chief Allama Khadim Rizvi

 In a tweet, the prime minister has extended condolences to Khadim Rizvi’s family on the passing of the TLP chief. He also offered his condolences to the bereaved family.

 

 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief said, “May Allah Almighty bless the departed soul in eternal peace."

Condolences began pouring in from all quarters moment after the news of sad demise of TLP chief was shared with the nation.

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed sorrow over the demise of the TLP chief. In a statement, he said: “May Allah bless his [Khadim Rizvi] soul and give patience to the bereaved family and his supporters.”

Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of leader of Tehreek-e-Labeek Maulana Khadim Hussain Rizvi. In his condolence message, the Minister prayed for the departed soul.

He said the services of Khadim Hussain Rizvi for Islam will be remembered for a longer period. Punjab government spokesperson Firdous Ashiq Awan also offered condolences on the death of Rizvi.

 

Federal Minister for Information Senator Shibli Faraz also took to the micro-blogging site and condoled the death of the religious leader.

Tehreek Labbaik Pakistan founder and chief Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi passed away on Thursday at the gae of 54. His funeral will be held at Minar-e-Pakistan Ground at 10am on Saturday.  

He was shifted to hospital due to fever and respiratory problem. He has been unwell for a long period. Besides being a Hafiz-e-Quran, he was also Sheikhul Hadith and had an excellent command of the Persian language.

He used to recite poetry of Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal in his speeches.

Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi was born in Attock on May 22, 1966. He received the education of Hifz and Tajweed from seminaries in Jhelum and Dina. He passed Dars-e-Nizami from Jamia Nizamia Rizvia. Before shifting to Lahore, he served as Khateeb in an Auqaf-run mosque.
