PM, COAS to discuss Yemen situation on one-day trip to Saudi Arabia
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif will pay a one day visit to Saudi Arabia on Thursday and will hold talks with the top Saudi leadership on Yemen situation. The decision was taken at a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to discuss Yemen situation. Prime Minister welcomed Saudi Arabia's decision to halt air strikes against Houthi rebels. He appreciated Riyadh for pursuing political course to find solution to Yemen crisis. During the visit, the Pakistani delegation will hold talks with the top Saudi leadership on the Yemen situation. On behalf of Pakistani nation, Prime Minister will express solidarity and support to Saudi Arabia. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Special Assistant on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry will also accompany the PM and COAS.
