PM, COAS visit Sehwan, inquire after health of injured people

NAWAB SHAH (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have on Friday visited hospital in Nawabshah, and inquired after the health of those injured in yesterday's blast at Sehwan Sharif. The prime minister was accompanied by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, National Security Adviser Nasir Janjua, Governor Sindh Muhammad Zubair, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The premier also visited the shrine to give a clear message to the terrorists. Nawaz Sharif was given briefing about the terrorist attack during his visit. Earlier, as many as 72 people were martyred while over 200 others, including women and children, were injured in a suicide attack on the premises of Lal Shahbaz Shrine. The Sehwan DHO said that 12 women and two children are among the martyrs. The spokesman for the Sindh police said that the suicide bomber entered the shrine from the Golden Gate. Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah phoned IGP Sindh AD Khwaja. He declared an emergency in the hospitals of Hyderabad.
