ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is considering a complete closure of air space to India and a complete ban on use of Pakistan land routes for Indian trade to Afghanistan.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the minister said that these steps were suggested in the federal cabinet meeting and legal formalities for these decisions are under consideration. “Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started and we will finish it,” he said.
All Muslim countries embroiled in conflict: Fawad Chaudhry
Expressing disappointment for civil award to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 25, Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that there is no Muslim bloc now and all Muslim countries are embroiled in conflict.
Talking to the journalists on Sunday, the minister said that war is not a choice but Pakistan is completely ready to retaliate if it is imposed. He said that Pakistan had made all efforts to take relations with India towards normalisation but they had not been reciprocated.
“If India will raise finger, we will break it and if show fist then Pakistan has ability to break its jaws,” he responded to Indian aggression against the country.
Commenting about the role of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Muslim bloc in the Kashmir dispute, Chaudhry said, “There is no Muslim bloc now. All Muslim countries are embroiled in conflict. Countries that are stable, Turkey is standing by us; the rest of will take decisions according to their own interests.”
“No doubt, there is disappointment in Pakistan over the award recently conferred upon Narendra Modi by the UAE. We consider UAE as a friend to Pakistan and it must not be forgotten that Pakistan had a huge role in making Dubai what it is today.”
Fawad Chaudhry further said that the Kashmir issue was not Pakistan’s problem, but a global human rights issue. He also said that India’s narrative of the Kashmir dispute being an internal matter was defeated when the UNSC called a session to discuss the issue.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will raise Kashmir issue in international forum at the UN session. “Whether you support him or not, no one can deny that Prime Minister Imran has an ability to put forward Pakistan's stance that many of our past leaders lacked.”
