PM decides to consult opposition on proposed electoral reforms
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry on Monday said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has decided to consult with opposition on proposed electoral reforms.
The information minister said that the prime minister had directed the government team to make another contact with opposition parties on the proposed electoral reforms.
In a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry said Attorney General for Pakistan (AP) Khalid Javed Khan would brief the premier about the main features of electoral reforms after holding a meeting with the legal team of the opposition parties and the ECP.
The minister said the Attorney General would present a report containing the opposition’s suggestions on electoral reforms to the prime minister. "We will submit a report based on the suggestions of the opposition to the prime minister," he added.
