PM directs CDA chairman to visit sit-in site of Azadi March

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman to visit the Azadi March sit-in site to assess what relief can be provided to the protesters. In a tweet, after rainfall in Islamabad, the prime minister said, “I have directed the CDA Chairman to immediately visit the dharna site.” “What relief and assistance can be provided to the dharna participants with the onset of rain and changing weather conditions,” he tweeted. Azadi March participants stuck in troubles after intermittent rainfall in Islamabad on Wednesday. According to the reports, rain and thunderstorms intensified the cold weather in federal capital and participants of the Azadi March are forced to seek shelter in mosques and containers.  Several tents of protestors were also lit by strong winds. On the other hand, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rainfall and strong winds for the next four to five days. Widespread rain-dust/thunderstorm is expected in most parts of the country, while snowfall over high mountains during the next twelve hours. Temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning: Islamabad fifteen degree centigrade, Lahore eighteen, Peshawar seventeen, Karachi twenty-six,  Gilgit eight, Murree and Quetta seven  and Muzaffarabad nine degree centigrade.
