PM directs DG FIA to launch inquiry over campaign against judiciary

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Taking notice of malicious campaign against the respectable judiciary, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) director general (DG) to launch an inquiry over social media campaign. According to the details garnered, the prime minister has taken serious notice of recent campaign on social media in which uncalled, immoderate and intemperate language has been used against the superior judiciary of Pakistan. The prime minister directed FIA director general (DG) to look into the malicious campaign to track down the culprits. He also directed to take strict action against the culprits involved as per relevant laws. Earlier, PM Imran Khan has rebuked his Special Assistant on Health Dr Zafar Mirza over exhibiting non-serious behaviour before the Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday. The prime minister’s reaction came after the SAPM on Health Dr Zafar Mirza showed unserious behaviour during his appearance before the top court hearing the matters related to coronavirus pandemic in the country. He took of Dr Zafar Mirza failing to suitably represent the government’s efforts to curb the coronavirus and took him to task. Sources have said that according to the PM, it is the responsibility of the special assistant to comprehensively and suitably represent the government’s efforts in front of the SC but he has been unable to satisfy the court with regards to its apprehensions about the government and its policies. PM Khan expressed displeasure at the special assistant’s behavior at yesterday’s cabinet meeting saying that the incumbent government has utmost respect for the chief justice and SC; such irresponsible behavior against it will not be tolerated.
