PM directs for immediate action against profiteers, hoarders

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has met with the members of the Punjab Cabinet in Lahore on Saturday. During the meeting, the cabinet members briefed the prime minister about important matters concerning their departments. The cabinet members also briefed Imran Khan about the ongoing projects under Punjab Public-Private Partnership. Speaking on the occasion, the premier directed the members of the provincial cabinet for strict monitoring of Ramazan Bazaars. PM Khan asked the Punjab Assembly members and provincial ministers to regularly visit Ramazan Bazaars, which have been set up in their respective areas. The prime minister also directed the cabinet members to ensure provision of essential commodities at fixed rates during the month of Ramazan. He also directed the concerned authorities to take immediate action against profiteers and hoarders. PM Khan said that special attention should be paid to include private sector in the development projects. He directed for implementation of different models of public-private partnership to reduce financial burden on the government. The prime minister said that more employment opportunities should be created for the skilled labour force in the development projects. He said specific projects should be initiated for promotion of agriculture sector and increase in per acre yield. PM Imran khan  said government is providing a subsidy of twelve billion rupees on Metro Bus which could had been allocated for health and education. He said all out facilities should be provided to the investors through one-window operation.
Aware of inflation, nation will have to pass through difficulties: PM
Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that healthcare is the top priority of the government. Addressing a ceremony after performing groundbreaking of Mother and Child Hospital in Rawalpindi on Friday, he said that the government would establish the hospitals where the need be. The prime minister said that the was aware of the inflation, but the nation will have to pass through difficult time for some time. “There were loans of Rs1,300 billion when the PTI assumed the power,” he said. He said that loans would continue to increase if the prices were not increased. “The government knows about the price-hike. We want to see each labourer having a roof and meal,” he declared. PM Imran Khan said that the government would give houses to the people having no money. “We will give loans to the youth. We will help the poor families. We will give buffaloes, goats and hens in villages,” he said. Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said Sehat Insaf Card scheme will soon be introduced in Rawalpindi. He said 157 billion rupees have been provided for 473 development projects in Rawalpindi Division. The Chief Minister said Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology will be upgraded to center of excellence for heart related diseases along with a facilitation center for rehabilitation of patients suffering from paralysis.
