PM directs formation of committee to probe allegations against PTI chairman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has on Friday directed the formation of a Special Committee of the National Assembly to probe into the allegations leveled against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan by Member National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Wazir Gulalai. Speaking in the National Assembly, he said that Member National Assembly (MNA) Ayesha Wazir Gulalai has leveled allegations against PTI chairman Imran Khan, adding that it would be appropriate to handle it at the level of the house. “The proceedings of the special committee should be held in-camera,” he added. The prime minister said that he is in parliamentary politics for the last 30 years and never witnessed such a situation. It is question of honor and dignity of the house and we have to enhance its prestige, he said. He also directed the authorities to provide security to Gulalai.
