PM directs Kathwari to expose real face of fascist Modi

NEW YORK (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan met Founder of Kashmir Study Group Farooq Kathwari and directed him to expose the real face of fascist Modi's regime before the world. The meeting was held between Imran Khan and Farooq Kathwari in New York and discussed the prevailing situation in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK). During the meeting, the prime minister highlighted India’s illegal and unilateral actions of 5th August and the inhuman lockdown of over 8 million Kashmiris entering in its 49th consecutive day. On the occasion, Kathwari highlighted the Kashmir Study Group’s earlier engagement on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and efforts for conflict resolution. The premier directed him to expose the real face of fascist Modi's regime before the world. Imran Khan urged the Group to highlight the present dangerous situation which imposed immeasurable suffering on the Kashmiri people and posed a grave threat to regional peace and security. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Advisor on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Naeemul Haq, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to UN Maleeha Lodhi, Ambassador to the US Asad Majeed and other senior officials were also present on the occasion. Earlier, PM Khan reached the US on a week-long visit to attend the UN General Assembly session. On arrival, he was received by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan Ambassador to US Dr Asad Majeed Khan and senior officials. He will deliver his address to the UN General Assembly on September 27 and share Pakistan’s perspective and position on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and its current human rights and related dimensions. The prime minister will also avail the opportunity to articulate Pakistan’s perspective on some key contemporary issues. Imran Khan will hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from various regions and participate in high-level UN summits on climate change, sustainable development, universal health coverage and financing for development. He will also attend and speak at high-level side events co-hosted by Pakistan and Turkey on countering hate speech and on environmental protection and poverty alleviation, co-hosted by Malaysia and Pakistan.
