PM directs to consult Ulema for formulating Ramzan guidelines

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for holy month of Ramazan in consultations with religious scholars. The prime minister stated while talking to Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Pir Noorul Haq Qadri in Islamabad. The prime minister said he will hold personal meetings with Ulema and religious scholars next week. They also discussed details of scheduled meeting of President Arif Alvi with religious scholars being held tomorrow. On the other hand, President Arif Alvi will hold consultations with the religious scholars on Saturday regarding prayer congregations and Namaz-e-Taraweeh during the holy month of Ramazan. The meeting will prepare a strategy based on effective steps to contain the spread of coronavirus. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al El-Sheikh said on Friday that Muslims will offer Taawih prayers during the month of Ramazan and Eid prayers at home if the coronavirus situation continues. The statement from the Saudi mufti came after the kingdom confirmed 518 cases of the coronavirus on Friday while four people succumbed to the virus on Thursday. The Saudi grand mufti said that the Eid prayers will be offered at home with a sermon following it. The coronavirus has affected more than 2 million people around the globe and killed more than 140,000.
