ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to PM Naeemul Haque said on Sunday that Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Climate Change Minister Zartaj Gul to withdraw her letter written to the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) for the appointment of her sister. Naeemul Haque took his twitter and said, the appointment was against the ethics of PTI which has always opposed nepotism. He further said that no one in the PTI government can use their position for the promotion of their relatives and friends. “The PM has directed that Zartaj Gul shud withdraw her letter written to NACTA regarding the appointment of her sister. This was against the ethics of PTI which has always opposed nepotism. No one in the PTI govt is can promote their relatives/friends by using their positions,” he tweeted. It is noteworthy that it has yet to be decided if Shabnam will be removed from the post or not. the prime minister took the notice of matter when the controversy arose on the social media debate and the people were alleging the PTI government for nepotism. On Saturday, the social media users started to comment Gul’s sister, Shabnam Gul, was appointed director of the NACTA for three years. this debate was become the controversial. She was working as an assistant professor at the Lahore College for Women University and was sent to NACTA as a Grade-19 officer on deputation. It was reported that Zartaj Gul used her post to get her sister the appointment. Defending the appointment, Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry took his Twitter and said, “She is a PhD in terrorism and FATA and [was] selected after interviews”.
