KARACHI (92 News) – Speaking at a fundraiser on Friday Imran Khan said that the nation has to undergo a difficult economic phase for two to three months. Making a speech at a fundraiser for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Karachi, Imran Khan assured that he will get Pakistan out of every challenge after just two more months of difficulties as whenever bad times have come, country have also gotten out of it. The premier mentioned that the country has endured 10 years of massive corruption and looting and would hence suffer the consequence for a short while till situation improves. “When a country undergoes bad times, it unites. It does not start hording dollars in midst of a severe financial crunch, he continued. He again reiterated his resolve to make Pakistan a peaceful and prosperous country which would be a prime destination for foreigners looking for better business opportunities.
PTI against craving out another province in Sindh: PM assures GDA
Earlier today, the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) members called on Prime Minister Imran Khan during his daylong visit in Karachi. The GDA members expressed their reservations on the demand of Sindh division during the meeting. While talking to the delegation of allies parties of PTI, the priem minister has made it clear that PTI is against craving out another province in Sindh. PM Khan also explained that after the introduction of PTI’s local bodies system there will be no need of any division. Political and overall situation of Sindh, federally funded developmental projects in Sindh province and issues of allies were also discussed during the meeting. Opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Khurram Sher Zaman, Haleem Adil Shaikh, Faisal Vowda, Ashraf Qureshi, Arbab Ghulam Raheem, Nand Kumar,Nusrat Sahar Abassi, Saddaruddin Shah Rashidi and others were also present on the occasion. On the other hand, the delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) did not attend the meeting.
PM arrives Karachi on daylong visit
Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Karachi Friday afternoon on a daylong visit to the commercial hub of the country. The prime minister was being accompanied by Federal Minister for Shipping and Marine Affairs Syed Ali Zaidi, PM’s Advisor for Trade Abdul Razzaq Dawood, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Naeemul Haque. The prime minister was scheduled to hold meetings with representatives of the business community and chair a meeting on the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme in Sindh. He attended as guest of honor a fundraising Iftar-dinner organised by the local chapter of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.
