KARACHI (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan announced a historic package of Rs 1,100 billion for Karachi on Saturday. Addressing a ceremony, the prime minister said that the Center and Sindh province had prepared the package. "We will find a permanent solution to the problems. The Centre will look into the cleanliness of drains, while the Sindh government will deal with the matter of homeless people," he declared. Imran Khan said that the government would improve the provision of clean drinking water and sewerage system. "The Pak Army will also cooperate in the restoration of Karachi," he said. He said that the coronavirus pandemic was a difficult phase. "Now floods are causing devastation in Sindh and Balochistan," he added. The prime minister said that Circular Railway would also be completed in the package. "We will also fully resolve the problems of roads and transport. The people of Karachi had to pass through difficult time. All pending problems of Karachi will be resolved," he said. He said that all projects would be completed in three years.
