PM Imran Khan annoyed at not ending corruption at lower level in Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his annoyance at no eliminating corruption at the lower level in Punjab. Talking to PTI lawmakers in Lahore on Saturday, he directed that concrete steps should be taken to eliminate corruption. “I have known a lot of things about corruption in Mianwali, Lahore and other districts,” he said. The lawmakers complained that Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar does not meet them. The prime minister ordered the chief minister to remove reservations of the members. Earlier addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, he said that the government is facilitating business activities in the country and all impediments in the development of industrial sector are being removed. “Reforms process in all government institutions is in progress to harmonize the initiatives taken by the government.” Imran Khan said that the Chinese companies are taking keen interest to invest in Pakistan in diverse sectors. “We have to ease entrepreneurship and simplify our procedures. Quaid-e-Azam Business Park will emerge as an epicenter of new economic avenues and prospects for the Chinese companies.” The prime minister said that an incentives package for the construction industry has been announced to accelerate the economic revival and to generate job opportunities. He underlined the need for a long-term planning for a sustainable development and expressed regret over short-term planning in the past. He said that small and medium size industry is the backbone of the economy which provides job opportunities to large scale population.
