KARACHI (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has invited the provincial government to join hands for progress of Sindh.

Addressing a ceremony of groundbreaking of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) on Monday, he said that the federal government cannot execute several projects without the support of the provincial government.

"We will have to work jointly. It will be difficult to control if the problems were not resolved right now," he added.

The prime minister advised Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to review the Bundle Island project.

Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that the federal and provincial government made decisions despite political differences. "We are executing the projects pending for decades in Karachi," he said.

Minister for Railways Azam Swati said that travel difficulties will reduce due to the modern circular road. "The project will be completed in two years. Unluckily, Karachi has become of a heap of garbage instead of progress. PM Imran Khan will restore the lights of the city," he added.

During his one-day stay, Prime Minister Imran Khan will meet party leaders, lawmakers and Ulema.

The prime minister will also be briefed about the party matters and development projects.
