NEW YORK (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he had discussed the Indian issue with US President Donald Trump. Speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations on Monday, he said that India accused Pakistan of the Pulwama incident without any proof. “Indian bombed us in our territory when we sought the proofs of Pulwama incident. As a result, we downed two Indian jets,” he said. The prime minister said that the election campaign in India was launched on the basis of anti-Pakistan stance. “The Modi government is following the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) agenda. Kashmiris have been facing the worst curfew for the last 50 days. India has imposed nine million soldiers on the Occupied Kashmir,” he said. “It is a violation of every humanitarian right of the people of Kashmir. The United Nations and the Security Council had given the people of Kashmir the right of self-determination, which was never given to them.” Imran Khan said that Pakistan and India are two nuclear armed states and any conflict between them can have negative impacts beyond South Asia. He said the world should intervene to resolve the situation. To a question, Prime Minister Imran Khan said: “There is only Islam. There is no such things as moderate Islamic or radical Islamic. There is only one Islam. We have laws protecting women, but when these violations take place. It is because our enforcement, our implementation is weak.” To another question, the prime minister said that there had been no demands by China which restrict our sovereignty. “What I admire about China the most: in 30 years they have taken 700 million people out of poverty. What is the one thing I want in Pakistan? Lift 100 million Pakistanis out of poverty. So that's one thing we have learned from China.” The prime minister said that it was a big mistake to jump into the US war. “After 9/11, the US started terming the ‘Mujahideen’ as terrorists. Pakistan suffered a loss of $US200 million in the war against terrorism,” he said. He said that the people trained against Russia were held responsible for 9/11. “I have told the US president that there is no military solution to the Afghan issue. The fence is being erected along the Pak-Afghan border first time,” he said. PM Imran Khan said that it was bad luck that the Afghan peace agreement was halted at the last moments. “The Afghan nationals have been facing difficult situation for 40 years,” he said. “Taliban are strong and their morale is very high as compared to the past,” he said. He said that Pakistan wants peace with all its neighbouring countries. “Pakistan Army stands with the policies of the government. The Pak Army and government are on the same page,” he said. Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that they had to approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF) due to previous governments. “We inherited the worst economic condition. The past governments failed in determining the right direction of the economy,” he said. He said that income could not be increased as compared to the expenditures. “China saved us from being a defaulter. China, Saudi Arabia and the UAE helped us in the economic progress,” he said.
