ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has appealed to political parties not to hold public meetings due to spread of coronavirus.

Expressing his views after a meeting of the National Coordination Committee for COVID-19 on Thursday, he said that the political parties should hold public meetings after two-three months to save the people from coronavirus.

He said that the governments are not toppled through meetings. "Under these circumstances, meetings are a source of the spread of coronavirus. After the meeting in Multan, 64 percent beds were occupied by patients," he added.

The prime minister said that 40 percent beds have been occupied by coronavirus patients in Peshawar.
