Addressing the industrialists, he said that it is responsibility of the government to provide facilities to the masses. "We will make Faisalabad better than Manchester," he declared.

The prime minister asked the traders to earn justified profit and pay the taxes.

PM Imran Khan also decided to give a five percent relief on the import duty on thread. "We saved the industry and the poor through our decisions," he added. 

He said that the government is introducing a new local government system. "A High Court bench should be formed at the divisional level," he added.

Earlier, the prime minister inaugurated Kashmir Underpass, a Langarkhana and Lyallpur Complex.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar announced an Rs 13 billion package for development projects. Speaking on the occasion, he said that work was underway on 13 economic zones in Punjab. "We are giving facilities to industries for a relief in business," he said.

Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar said that an amount of Rs 148 billion had been refunded this year. "We will waive off all unnecessary taxes imposed on the industry," he said.
