ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is determined to ensuring the accountability process in the country. Addressing a joint press conference on Wednesday, he said that corruption had been eliminated at the government level. "There is no stigma of corruption on the ministers." He said that corruption was not an issue in the tenures of the PML-N and the PPP. "Now the narrative of 'one who eats, spends as well' has been changed," he maintained. The minister said that before February 26, nothing was being prepared locally. "Today we are manufacturing 150 ventilators per month and soon we will be able to manufacture 700 ventilators per month," he claimed. Minister for Communications Murad Saeed said that the country had come out of a lot of difficulties. "An amount of Rs 75 billion has been saved in the Communications Ministry," he said. He said that they started e-billing, e-procurement and e-bidding under transparency. "The income of the Postal Ministry has increased to Rs 10-18 billion," he added. Murad Saeed said that the Motorway police are completing projects without any supplementary grant. "We are launching patrolling through the drone technology on Motorways and Highways," he disclosed. Minister for Inter-provincial Harmony Fehmida Mirza said that the Council for Common Interests (CCI) will have its secretariat soon. She said that the government evolved consensus among the provinces for the promotion of tourism. "The government is introducing reforms in the Pakistan Sports Board. A 42 increase has been made in the Sports Board," she added.
