PM Imran Khan expresses satisfaction over Punjab govt’s public welfare steps

LAHORE (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan held a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar during his visit to Lahore on Saturday. Both discussed the provincial matters. The chief minister briefed the prime minister about the situation of flour and wheat in the province as well as steps taken to control COVID-19. The prime minister expressed his satisfaction over Punjab government’s steps for public welfare. He also lauded the establishment of River Ravi Front Authority as well as ongoing uplift projects in Punjab. Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Punjab government had implemented the SOPs efficiently. “As a result, coronavirus cases reduced significantly. Now the situation is improving,” he added. He appealed to the people to support the government and implement the SOPs. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the Punjab government had reduced its expenditures significantly as per vision of the PM. “The River Ravi Front Authority will work to construct a new city on the pattern of Dubai,” he added. He said that the new city would spread over 100,000 acres of land. “The private sector is likely to invest Rs 5,000 billion. High-rising buildings will be preferred in the new city,” he added. The chief minister said that a big lake and three barrages would be constructed in the new city to overcome climate, water and traffic problems.
