ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Minister Sultan Muhammad Khan resigned after Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice of sale and purchase in the Senate election.

A video showing the lawmakers receiving money before the 2018 Senate election went viral. Several members of the PTI and the Qaumi Watan Party were also seen in the video.

Earlier in a tweet on Tuesday, he said that the prime minister had also ordered a detailed inquiry report of the matter.

"Today's video had proved that the stance of Prime Minister Imran Khan was true. After introducing a neutral umpire in cricket, PM Imran Khan wants to introduce the tradition of clean and transparent election in Senate," he said.

Shahbaz Gill said that the same treatment would be meted out to any person whether he is a PTI member or not. "The Captain will not spare any corrupt person," he added.

He said that the difference is visible that Imran Khan had expelled 20 party members who sold their votes. "After today's video, resignation has been taken from the law minister," he added.
