PM Imran khan hints at major reshuffle in cabinet

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan hinted at major reshuffle in the federal cabinet after some leaders complained about inefficiency and absence of ministers from the National Assembly. During a meeting of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary party, complained about ‘non-cooperation’ of some ministers in addressing people’s grievances. Imran Khan hinted at major reshuffle in the cabinet members during the meeting after comlaints. The meeting, co-chaired by the prime minister and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the Parliament House, also discussed Khan’s recent visit to the US and address at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) where he successfully raised the issue of India-held Jammu and Kashmir. The foreign minister briefed the meeting on the Kashmir issue and Pakistan’s stance at the UNGA session, while the prime minister presented a review on what could happen if the situation worsened between Pakistan and Indian over the Kashmir issue. Earlier, the prime minister had decided to review quarterly performance of ministries and issued directives to compile reports within 14 days. Ministries had been given two weeks to finalise its quarterly performance reports to be reviewed by the PM Khan during an upcoming session, sources said. It was also reported that performance of the ministries will be reviewed on the basis of targets presented in the cabinet in November 2018. After US successful visit, Imran Khan asked his supporters not to lose hope in bad times since struggle is all about ups and downs. Addressing the gathering at Islamabad airport, the prime minister thanked the nation for prayers that he said enabled him to fight Kashmir’s case. “I would first of all, like to thank the public, the way you prayed for me and the Kashmiris. I would also like to thank Bushra Begum for praying for me continuously.” PM Khan pledged that he will continue to expose the fascist agenda of Narendra Modi’s government at every international forum. “Even if the world does not stand with Kashmir, Pakistan will always stand with them. We stand with them because we want to please Allah,” he assured. The prime minister asked his supporters not to lose hope in bad times since struggle is all about ups and downs. “You have to make sure to not be disappointed in times of hardship because the people of Kashmir are looking towards you. As long as they have us standing with them, they will continue their struggle and will win freedom one day,” he said.
