PM Imran Khan inaugurates first smart forest at Sheikhupura's Rakh Jhok Forest

SHEIKHUPURA (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the country's first smart forest at Sheikhupura's Rakh Jhok Forest on Wednesday.

The prime minister was briefed about the smart forest.

Addressing the ceremony, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that they will have to make Pakistan better for their next generations. "We will have to make a promise to keep our country lush green," he added.

PM Imran Khan said that Lahore, which was considered to be the City of Garden, now has each kind of pollution. "The Punjab government will complete the Ravi project. Only 640 million trees were planted till 2013. Five billion trees have been planted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during five years. Now we have the target of planting 10 billion trees," he maintained.

He said that three barrages would be constructed on the Ravi River. "Water treatment plants will be installed. In addition, 10 dams will be constructed in the country," he added.
