PM Imran Khan invites Afghan president for visit in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Sunday invited Afghanistan’s President Ashraf Ghani for visit in Pakistan. The prime minister was talking to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani who made a telephone call to him today. During the conversation, both the leaders exchanged views on matters relating to peace, security and prosperity in Afghanistan and the region. PM Imran Khan has reiterated his vision for finding a peaceful solution in Afghanistan, fully owned and led by the Afghans themselves. He also stated that the spirit of brotherhood defined Pakistan's approach towards Afghanistan. He said the prolonged Afghan conflict has damaged Afghanistan and adversely affected Pakistan over the past many decades.
Ghani, Imran Khan agree to overcome past
Earlier in month of January, Ashraf Ghani confirmed via tweet that he had called Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and congratulated him on his victory in the elections, and invited him to visit Kabul. Ghani tweeted that both sides had also agreed to overcome the past and to lay a new foundation for a prosperous political, social and economic future of both countries Afghanistan and Pakistan. The Afghan president also said that he had invited the PTI chief to Kabul. "I extended an open invitation to Mr. Khan and he expressed his wishes to visit Kabul soon."
