ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The disqualified PTI leader Jahangir Tareen called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM House on Saturday. Sources said that they discussed political situation. Jahangir Tareen briefed the prime minister about his meeting with allied parties. He also apprised the PM of the reservations of the Balochistan National Party (BNP) regarding implementation of the six-point agenda. They also discussed the new law pertaining to agriculture, livestock and new local bodies law.
I attend all meetings on PM’s will & desire: Tareen
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stalwart leader and a close aide of Prime Minister Imran Khan Jahangir Khan Tareen has termed that he always attend all meetings on the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s will as well as desire. Responding to concerns of Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the PTI leader said that he only accepted his leader as Imran Khan and liable to him for any query. “I have no concern with the strange reasons of others. It was his fundamental right to serve the interests of Pakistan. No one [including Shah Mehmood Qureshi] can restrict me from serving the country,” Jahangir Tareen said.
PTI leaders openly support Jahangir Tareen
On the other hand, many PTI leaders openly came into support of about Jahangir and criticized the foreign minister’s statement. Minister for Water Faisal Vawda, Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry, the Punjab industry minister, the Punjab Agriculture minister, Punjab CM’s adviser Aown Chaudhry, KP finance minister among many other PTI leaders favoured Tareen. Fawad Chaudhry stated that Jahangir Tareen played an important role to make the PTI government. “No leader to be needed for teaching us, Tareen attends all meeting on my and other minister’s will. He takes directions from Imran Khan and learn from Jahangir,” Faisal Vawda said.
Tareen’s presence in official meeting is contempt of court: Qureshi
Earlier today, FM Qureshi has said that the presence of Jahangir in an official meeting is a contempt of court. Talking to the journalists, he said that Jahangir is a capable man. “I request him (Jahangir) to decide on the issue that when he sits in an official meeting Marriyum Aurangzeb gets an opportunity to speak against the government,” he opined. Shah Mahmood Qureshi asked Jahangir to advise the party from some distance. “It’s not our viewpoint to touch the 18th Amendment,” he said.
