PM launches Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme for people losing jobs due to COVID-19

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme for the people losing their jobs due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Addressing the ceremony, he said that over Rs three billion had so far been collected in the Corona Relief Fund. “Financial assistance will be given to the people losing their jobs due to the coronavirus,” he said. The prime minister also interacted with the affectees and listened to their problems and grievances and assured them to take every possible steps in resolving their issues. Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar said that on the orders of the prime minister, the government will contribute Rs4 for every Re donated to the fund. “Donations to the relief fund as well as release of funds from it is being done in a transparent manner,” he said.
