PM decides to postpone his video address to nation

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan’s expected address to the nation has been postponed, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry confirmed. Chaudhry confirmed PM Imran was to speak on the drive against corruption in the country. Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s address to nation was expected on Sunday. As per sources, the prime minister has to unveil mega corruption scandal in his expected address to the nation. He will take the nation into confidence regarding important initiatives of the government against corruption. The time of the address was not decided. In a ceremony, he said while announcing that country has come out of crisis, vowed to announce anti-poverty package today. Imran Khan has also met the officials of recently-formed Assets Recovery Unit and he may also share some details about it in the address. Earlier in his first address as the premier on August 19, Imran Khan had laid down plan to run the affairs of the new government and transform the country into an Islamic welfare state. In his wide-ranging speech, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief had announced a number of measures aimed at austerity, getting rid of loans, domestic resource mobilization and reforms in education, health and agriculture sectors. In speech, he promised to make Pakistan as an Islamic welfare state through all-encompassing reforms in different spheres of life.
